Review on Iberostar Grand Rose Hall, Jamaica
posted Jan 27, 2016 at 04:28:53 PM

This was our first time at an Iberostar resort and second time to Jamaica.  We have stayed at multiple other resorts in the Carribean but there is nothing to beat this place!

Top 10 list:

1.  All the staff are wonderful - looking to please the customer.  Everyone smiles and genuinely seem to love their jobs]

2.  The food is amazing.  The restaurants are all 5 star.  We never had a meal or drink that wasn't above standard

3.  The rooms - comfy beds and we receiv ...

Importance of Travel Insurance
posted Sep 5, 2012 at 05:48:43 PM

The following article in Toronto Star illustrates well the important of Travel Insurance when traveling aboard

Family and friends of Anna Leibenko had raised $38,000 to help the stranded 24-year-old by Wednesday.

The Thornhill resident had been travelling in Europe with friends and was due to return this week. But on Aug. 17, she slipped and fell on a catamaran on the Adriatic Sea, hitting her head on the boat and nearly drowning after she slipped into the water. Her condition remains critical and she has been in a medically induced coma in a Croatian hospital, her friends and mother by her side.

Making the situation worse was that she had no travel insurance. The cost to fly her home by air ambulance was originally quoted at $93,000, although her brother, Artem Leibenko, says now “there might be a c ...

Feedback on cruising on LIBERTY OF THE SEAS 7 NIGHT WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN CRUISE
JULY 28, 2012

When it comes to cruising, you can pretty much say that we are big snobs. Having always sailed on newer ships, Liberty of the Seas at 5 years of age, looked like she needed some refurbishment. Certain areas of the ship were moulding; the rock wall needed a paint job really badly. However, it being a Mediterranean cruise and only one sea day, we didn't spend a lot of time on the ship. The quality of the food was better than the Oasis class ships. I guess there are fewer passengers and as such they don't have as much cooked food waiting in the galley to be served. However, the people working on the ship weren't quite as friendly but it didn't affect my vacation one way or another as we left as soon as the ship docked each morning and didn't return until just before sailing time.

I had booked private shore excursions at ea ...

Why you need a travel agent
posted Sep 5, 2012 at 05:04:21 PM

Why do people want to go on vacation? They do it to briefly escape the stress and hardships of their lives and relax. Booking a vacation by yourself is a lot of work and brings a lot of stress, which is contradictory to the reason they want to go on a vacation in the first place.

Luckily there are travel agents who do all the work for you, at a reasonable or minimal cost. They may even save you hundreds or thousands in the process as well.

A travel agent saves you time as well as money. You save hundreds potentially by booking at a certain time, as well as with a certain deal. Travel agents also save you from the stress in booking a good vacation. The time it would take you to research and find good deals yourself is vastly longer than it would take a travel agent to find the same deals, and beat them. A travel agent is your insider, a person who is well connected with the business and able to find you deals not available to you normally, as well as ...
